Marselino Ferdinan has left Oxford United to join Indonesian Super League side Persija Jakarta. The move follows the expiry of the midfielder's one-year contract at the Kassam Stadium this summer.
Ferdinan, an Indonesia international, joined Oxford United in the summer of 2024. He made only two competitive appearances for the club before spending part of the 2025/26 season on loan at Slovakian side AS Trenčín. The club supported the player through a period of injury rehabilitation during his time in England. No transfer fee was involved in his departure.
His exit comes as Oxford United sit sixth in League One, having taken 11 points from their opening six matches. The side's recent form reads three wins, one draw and one defeat from the last five games, a sequence that includes a 3-0 victory over Burton Albion and a 1-1 draw with Cambridge United last Friday.
Des Buckingham's squad now turns its attention to the next fixture, an away trip to face Notts County on 10 October.
