Former Oxford United loanee Jordan Graham is in hospital after a serious car crash earlier this month. The Professional Footballers' Association issued a statement on Monday confirming the 31-year-old is receiving specialist treatment.
"Earlier this month, Jordan Graham was involved in a serious road traffic accident and is currently receiving specialist treatment in hospital," the PFA said. Oxford United posted a message of support on their official account, stating the whole club family is thinking of him at this difficult time.
Graham's family expressed their gratitude for the medical care. "His family are incredibly grateful for the care he is receiving," they said in the PFA's statement. "They respectfully ask for privacy and that people refrain from contacting them directly while they focus entirely on Jordan and his recovery."
The winger had two separate loan spells at Oxford United from Wolverhampton Wanderers, in 2015 and again in 2019. The news comes as the current Oxford side, sitting 6th in League One with 11 points, prepare for their next fixtures away to Doncaster on Saturday. The team's recent form reads three wins, one draw and one defeat from their last five outings.
