Oxford United's stars shine in international friendlies as Indonesia win and Northern Ireland are defeated by World Cup favourites France. Ciaron Brown and Brodie Spencer both started in a 3-1 defeat to former world champions France which included Real Madrid Galactico Kylian Mbappe, Paris St Germain's Ballon d'Or winner Ousmane Dembele and Bayern Munich star Michael Olise. Olise bagged a hattrick on Monday to down the boys in green. Four days prior, Northern Ireland had beaten Guinea 1-0 in Spain, Oxford midfielder Jamie McDonnell starting the match with Brown. Spencer was also introduced at half time. Meanwhile, the Yellows' Indonesian stars Ole Romeny and Marselino Ferdinan both starred for their country. Romeny bagged the only goal in a 1-0 win over Mozambique on Tuesday, rounding the goalkeeper to score after just 12 minutes. Ferdinan picked up his first minutes after a six-month long injury, entering the action at the 65-minute mark. The midfielder had spent last season on loan in Slovakia with Trenčín. The win against the African side was Indonesia's second in a week. The nation beat Oman 3-0 on Friday, Romeny getting on the scoresheet in that match as well. A composed finish saw the 25-year-old bag his country's second goal of the game after 27 minutes.
